Adam Faircloth

Adam began his pageantry career in his home state of North Carolina at Clayton High School. After graduation he was lucky enough to travel and live in various parts of the US while performing with groups like First Flight Winter Guard (2006 & 2007), Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps (2007 & 2008), Corona World Guard (2008), Crown Guard (2009), Consortio Winter Guard (2010), Zydeco World Color Guard (2011), and Orland Visual Winter Guard (2012). Since then he has focused on his teaching career and worked for 2 summers for Fred J Miller Inc. as a summer clinics staff member. During his second summer he was offered a position a fulltime position at FJM and began his love for costume and flag design/production. Adam lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife Samantha, son Lucas, dog Copper, and cat Misty. He is the Director of Color Guards at Franklin Central High School (IN).

Samantha Faircloth

Samantha Faircloth joins us with 16 years in the activity, and is starting her 13th year of instruction. Samantha's performing career started at Center Grove High School, performing from 2006-2010. After high school she continued marching and expanding her performance career in both DCI and WGI. Her DCI experience includes the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps (2011-2012) and the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps (2013). Samantha's WGI experience includes Onyx Independent World (2013, 2014, 2017), as well as establishing a role in the foundation of The Collective. After retiring from her performing career, she took on her first directing position with the Greenwood Irish Guard from Greenwood Community High School for 5 years; leading them to two IHSCGA Open Class State Champion titles as well as making WGI Open Class Finals in 2022. Samantha continues to teach at various schools throughout the state and can't wait to start her journey with The Revival Winter Guard!

Thomas Thawley

Thomas is from Gautier, Mississippi and currently resides in Indianapolis, IN. Thomas is currently in his fourth year of directing at Fishers High School. Previously, he has taught at Pendleton Heights HS, Mt. Vernon HS, Bluecoats, Madison Scouts, Greenwood Community High School, Warren Central HS, and various other schools throughout the Indianapolis area! Thomas is also a designer at Dance Sophisticates!

Thomas Fitzpatrick

Thomas (he/they) grew up in Fort Mill, SC and currently resides in Indianapolis, IN. Starting his marching career with Fort Mill High School in the winter of 2016, he went on to march Carolina Crown ‘17 - ’21, Paramount World ‘19 - ’21, and most recently Etude World ‘22. Thomas was also the captain of the Crown Guard from ‘19-’21. They have taught all over the country in SC, NC, TX, CO, LA, TN, AZ, and IN. His teaching experience includes Lexington HS, Dobyns Bennett HS, Foster HS, Fishers HS, Lake Area Independent, and the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. Thomas graduated with degrees in Studio Arts & Media Arts from the University of SC in the spring of 2022. He has designed graphic elements for the Blue Knights, served as the Design and Media Intern for Wade Creative Studios in Atlanta, and currently works with Dance Sophisticates in Indianapolis. They hope to grow as a designer, choreographer, and drill writer in the marching arts community.

Markell Allen

Allen, originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, found his passion for color guard at a young age and has since grown to be an avid participant in the activity. Marching with an array of groups including, Carolina Crown, Boston Crusaders, Etude Winter Guard and Pride of Cincinnati, his experiences have allowed him he chance to learn and grow as a performer and educator. As an educator, Allen has had the opportunity of teaching a multitude of groups than span across 5 states, including many South Carolina high school and Independent groups, Indianapolis high school groups, and Legends Drum & Bugle Corps. His career has recently expanded to teaching at the Pride of Cincinnati, as well as doing design for other groups across the country. He received his B.F.A in Graphic Design from USC and works in creating digital and print designs for multiple purposes. Allen just finished a great run as one of the directors at River Bluff High School and is excited for this new journey with the Greenwood Irish Guard and opportunities in Indiana.

Ian Hehr

Ian comes to us from Myrtle Beach, SC and currently resides in Indianapolis. Ian started his color guard career at Carolina Forest High School in 2013, where he performed in both marching band and winter guard. In 2015, Ian became the Co-Color Guard Director if the Pride of St. James High School Marching Band. He continued his teaching career at Blythewood High School and Collierville High School, and directed Blythewood from 2019-2022. Alongside his teaching career, Ian was a performer with CharlesTowne Independent and Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017, 2018, and 2021. Ian has been a choreographer and designer for many high school and independent programs over these years, accumulating 18 seasons of experience to date. Ian is currently a choreographer/tech for the Greenwood Irish guard, and is excited for new opportunities in the Indianapolis Area!

 

Kelly Piacenti

Kelly Piacenti joins us with 15 years of experience in the activity. Her marching experience began at Marian Catholic High School from 2007-2011, winning WGI Scholastic Open Class in 2009 and marching in the World Guard in 2010 and 2011. She continued marching at Purdue University AAMB & Winter Guard for 4 years between 2011-2015. She was on the leadership team of the 2014 and 2015 groups that made Independent A WGI Finals. Her DCI experience includes the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps from 2013-14. Aside from performing in the DCI and WGI circuit, she has had the opportunity to perform in the Macy’s Day Parade, the Rose Bowl Parade, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland. Her previous teaching experience includes Boston Crusaders, Greenfield Central H.S., and Zionsville H.S. Kelly joined the New Palestine H.S. staff in 2017 as the lead tech and choreographer. In 2019, Kelly took on the director role and where she currently serves as the New Palestine H.S. Color Guard Program Director. Outside of teaching color guard, Kelly works full time as a commercial real estate property manager. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, working out at Orange Theory Fitness, surfing, and traveling domestically & abroad.

Samantha Heitert

Samantha Heitert graduated from Avon High School where she was in the Avon World Guard from 2018-2021. While there they won WGI SW in 2018 and 2019. Since then she has been choreographing for dance clubs at Purdue University where she attends classes and lives with her cat Milo. She now teaches at Ben Davis High School and Noblesville High School. She is super excited for the experience to work with and meet everyone who shares her same passion for color guard at the clinic and with Revival Winter Guard!
